I am, literally, dying for a break. Month end pressure is getting to me and I have reached my breaking point! So I thought I might as well plan something and set out all by my lonesome self. A quick Google search later, I checked my bank balance. Ten minutes later, tickets were bought and I was on my way to the airport to catch the next flight out. This is a faithful narrative of what happened last Tuesday. I am happy to inform you, however, that I am now merrily sipping away fresh coconut water straight from the source itself, firmly ensconced in my reclining chair on the pool deck at Lemon Tree Vembanad Lake Resort, Kerala.
I am, indeed, having a wonderful time here, and by wonderful, I mean a relaxing and reviving time. I have already had a good old time around the Citrus café- their multi cuisine restaurant. This resort in Kumarakom also has a separate “Ghar ka Khana” section which has, certainly, made my life easier. Thus, food wise my stomach is happy, and thus, by default, I am happy. An advice I would like to conclude with is that though it was a hasty decision on my part, one can always take their time, look for Kumarakom lake resort packages offered by Lemon Tree and book dates with respect to that. You will, most definitely, not be disappointed at this beauty they call God’s own country.
